Frequently asked questions

  • Each session is 50 minutes in length. If you would like to discuss a different length of sessions, please reach out.

  • The cost of a session varies depending on the type of session (individual or couples/family) as well as on the therapist you are seeing.

  • Yes, we are happy to offer an initial 15 minute phone consultation at no charge.

  • All sessions are virtual.

    You will receive a reminder email 24 hours before your session that will include the session link. You will also receive a reminder text message 2 hours before your session with the same information.

  • Yes. We are registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers at this time.

  • Preferred method of payment is e-transfer. Visa and Mastercard are also accepted, however do incur a 3% transaction fee.

  • If you need to cancel a session, please give a minimum of 24 hours notice. Cancellations or changes made with less than 24 hours notice will result in a full session charge. We do our best to accommodate changes if possible, so please reach out directly to me if a change is required.

  • The large majority of insurance carriers cover Masters of Social Work under health benefits. I unfortunately do not do direct billing at this time however my registration information will be on receipt of payment which can be used to claim the sessions.

    Therapy services with Masters of Social Work can also be claimed under health services with Canadian income taxes.
